MOST OF ARTISTS had been finally silenced having beaten their heads bloody against hard stone walls, had ceased working publicly or had died, or continue struggling in the arts, or have switched to other pursuits. Yet someplace else in same and other media, the planted NO!art seed had continued growing and multiplying by the hundreds in the four corners of the world. ---Boris Lurie & Dietmar Kirves.

Franziska Becher portraitFRANZISKA BECHER | NEW INVOLVED NO!art FIGHTER: Concept artist. Her versatile, creative working methods, which are unable to be summed up in one concrete style or topic, make her pieces something very much individual. Her work is characterised by the combination of traditional values, identities and fortunes. Her ability to recognise tendencies in our society in everyday, personal dealings with one another is typical of Franziska Becher as human and artist. The question of identity, of whence and whither, is engaged by humans constantly and everywhere in the entire world. more

The Center for Contemporary Political Art Washington, DCBORIS LURIE IN AMERICA | He had the Courage to Say NO!
The Center for Contemporary Political Art
Washington, DC 20001 | Jan 26 to Apr 26, 2020

At this difficult time in our history, it is our hope that Boris Lurie’s legacy, his art and his courage, will serve as an inspiration for artists everywhere to express their political views in their art, to increase awareness and understanding of the political issues we’re confronted with today. more

Mathilda Wolf: MoorflowerMathilda Wolf's NEW WORKS: My pictures are already within me and they push me to let them out. But when I long for the possibility to paint without difficulties and conflicts it is good to remember that oaks grow strong in contrary winds and diamonds are made under pressure. Then I become fascinated in following the dynamics and impulses of my pictures, their forms and colours and their fantastic imagination. They materialize according to their own rules. The most important thing I have to do is accepting these rules and not try to control or to interrupt the creative process or to destroy the balance by self-willed, obstinate actions. Eventually I will be looking at the picture saying: »Welcome to this world« with gratitudeto the metaphysical NO!art metamorphosis. more

NEW BORIS LURIE ART FOUNDATION CENTER

BLAF in the country 2020

Boris Lurie Art Foundation at Clifton New Jersey
BLAF now at SRI Fine Art Services, Clifton/NJ | Inside view

The Boris Lurie Art Foundation is excited to unveil its state-of-the-art 4,000 square foot space in Clifton, NJ. Award winning architect Julian von der Schulenburg has created a versatile space inspired by the industrial shell of the warehouse-like building. Incorporated into the design is a gallery space where the Foundation can host curators to view the over 3,000 works in its collection. In addition to the viewing area, ample space is provided for open art storage, restoration facilities, an archive room, and a research library.

COMMENT: BLAF does not manage artist grants, instead they support with Boris' millions "poor" museums and galleries, and hides Boris Lurie's art on the outskirts of New York in warehouses that nobody will visit for studies. BLAF is not interested in spreading out Boris Lurie's ideas. Instead, BLAF restricts itself to Boris' early works and keeps historians constantly on the Holocaust track. BLAF totally negates Boris' former friends and supporters. BLAF adorns itself with ignorant professors, art historians and journalists. A "wonderful" example for the mendacious manipulations in the art scene.
