BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES

1926 Né à Saint-Maur-des-Fossés (France). Etudie à Paris au Lycée Voltaire.
1945 Ecole du Louvre. - 1947 Devient acteur et interprète le rôle d'un peintre dans un film. Plus tard, au théâtre, joue une pièce dont Soulages a conçu les décors. - 1953 Commence à peindre. - 1962 Vit et travaille aux Etats-Unis. - Francis Salles peint peu. Cinq à six toiles par an.
