Born 1964 in Iowa. Started with painting and drawing. He uses his painting to parody the narrative and formal tropes employed to represent children's fictional literature and animated stories. These small works, remarkably sensuous to the eye, represent recognisable stories and characters in a range of pictorial styles, which the artist articulates to invent and recreate his own stories.
