Born 1964 in Iowa. Started with painting and drawing. Produced together with Frank Gaard the Fanzine MAN BAG from 1991 to 1998. He uses his painting to parody the narrative and formal tropes employed to represent children's fictional literature and animated stories. These small works, remarkably sensuous to the eye, represent recognisable stories and characters in a range of pictorial styles, which the artist articulates to invent and recreate his own stories. In these stories, profusely lascivious eroticism and sexuality are both the content and the form used to represent a world they had not been invited to represent. Lives in Berlin.
